Battersea Reach, The Pinnacle
The Pinnacle is the flagship building within London’s successful Battersea Reach residential development. With far reaching views over the city and the River Thames, the new 15-storey tower building boasts a fully glazed facade that beautifully reflects its waterside location.
Working with developer St. George PLC, McMullen Facades was appointed to design, manufacture and install The Pinnacle’s striking unitised facade that is completely curved with no flat elevations.
The McMullen team was keen to collaborate closely at the design stage with architects Broadway Malyan and facade consultants CladTech Ltd and attended numerous design meetings prior to work commencing on site.
The unitised glazed panels were designed and manufactured by McMullen at its state of the art facility in Moira before being delivered to site. Attention to detail and accuracy at the setting out stage was vital in ensuring the correct building tolerances were achieved. As part of its extensive scope of works, McMullen also delivered the attractive bolt-on balconies as well as the glass balustrades and feature penthouse terraces.
McMullen Facades’ successful delivery of The Pinnacle’s complex glazed facade follows the company’s earlier appointment to work on the Quarter House at the same development.
